Our instructors are the most welcome, fun-loving and hardworking group of fitness fanatics. Our team is here to help you with all your fitness goals from finding your rhythm to toning your arms.
Owner / Founder/ Instructor
Stephanie Escobedo is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a BFA in teaching dance. After graduating in 2009, she discovered her love for teaching fitness classes. Stephanie specializes in teaching women group fitness, holding certifications in Zumba, Aqua Zumba and Fluidity Barre. In 2009, she also founded her modern dance company Through the Body and continues to create work with her company, independently producing yearly performances.
Stephanie’s fitness beliefs consist of working with your body, not against it. Stephanie focuses on using your own body weight to strengthen, lengthen and tone the body. In her classes, form is most important and maintaining proper alignment and preventing injury is her top priority. Stephanie wants her students to learn something new every time they come to class.
Girls Got Rhythm
Fitness has always been an important part of Janette’s life and always will be; whether cardio, strength training, boxing, dance or any other activity that makes her stay fit. Janette became a fitness instructor at a very early age. Five years ago, she stumbled upon Zumba and fell in love with it – so much so that she was inspired to get certified. In her classes, Janette aims to inspire others to stay healthy and motivated by providing a high-energy dance class, with safety techniques while having a blast at the same time! As a toddler, Sarah began her fitness journey following along as her mother (a cardio dance instructor herself!) practiced aerobics in their basement. While she loved taking group fitness classes throughout her life, Sarah found a great fit with Cheerobix and decided to take the plunge to become an instructor in 2014. She loves the energy and joy that cardio dance brings to a class, from the movement of the whole room working together to the excitement that comes when someone nails a tricky piece of choreography. She strives to create a class community where everyone practices safely, confidently, and has a blast. She is thrilled to find a permanent home with TTB, and hopes to see you on the dance floor!
Teaira Burge has been cheering with PomSquad Fitness for years and is so excited to finally be leading her own squads! Teaira fell in love with the fun choreography and loves having her cheerleader dreams come true! Teaira is a performer with musical theater and opera companies all over the city and works as an art, dance, and music teacher at Bubbles Academy and Musical Chairs Studio.
Teaira is certified in group fitness through AFAA.
Spoilin' for a Fight
Emma is a self-proclaimed ‘lady who lifts’! While in grad school, Emma decided to use the school’s gym to help her get used to Colorado’s altitude. She stumbled into power-lifting and kickboxing classes –and never looked back! Emma is certified in Turbokick.Emma currently serves as a professional opera singer, a writer, an editor, a director, a choreographer, an independent producer, a managing director, and blogger in the Chicagoland area. When she isn’t running her butt off, Emma enjoys cooking elaborate meals, drinking copious amounts of tea, and crooning to her corgi, Monte.
